The house was spacious and comfortable. The recreation room was the best feature of the house for the grandchildren as they spent lots of time there and loved it. The outside hot tub was also a popular area. The outside bar-b-que grill was nice to have. The kitchen area is very nice and was well stocked. The living room is spacious and has great mountain views during the day, but the lighting is very poor at night when it is dark. We had to replace about a dozen light bulbs in the house that were not working when we arrived to start our stay. The house number on the outside is not easy to find and three different local companies drove by the house before they circled around and finally found it. The mattress on the king bed in the master suite was not good at all as you can feel movement whenever your partner moves during the night. We did not like that you are watering the lawns morning and evening as that made the lawn wet much of the day.

Stayed at the house for 1 week with 13 people. Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Gorgeous views from living room and many bedrooms. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Game room tv color was awful. Elevator was great for luggage. Living room furniture was a bit dusty and kitchen had cobwebs, otherwise house was in good shape. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. Had a couple of meals catered- would recommend JB and Me, did a great job! Would definitely recommend this house.

Our family consisting of 6 adults, 3 teenagers and 4 children stay in the Mountains or at the Beach in Ca. for a week each summer. We would put alpen Ridge at the top of the list---it was fantastic and more than accommodated our family. We loved the house---the size and roominess worked perfectly for 13---, location, nearby things to do and the proximity of the gondola to visit Telluride when we needed. It was wonderful...

Combines the best of all worlds

We have been to telluride 3 times in past few years. This home has a great location, great amenities,(slightly cranky gaggenau cooktop and complicated master bedroom rain type shower which will be fixed.) Great response from the owners and managers with these hiccups. This home lends itself well for large and groups of people who value a degree of privacy as well as "gathering together" in the home. With the unobstructed view, floor plan, yard, hot tub, outdoor grilll, game room, amenties, and convenient location for summer and winter activities we would come back to the alpen Ridge House in a heartbeat! This was the best ski-in ski-out house we have ever rented..The living room is literally a few steps away from ski run and offers great views! The house is new and nicely furnished. All bedrooms have in suite bathrooms which are new and nice.. The house is spacious and the rec room gave the kids a great place to hang out! This home is definitely a winner and I look forward to returning next season.

Alpen Ridge 2010

The house was fantastic. It slept our party of 14 easily and comfortably. The ski in, ski out location was possibly the best in Mountain Village. The house was well furnished (very taseful) and very well maintained almost like new. Telluride Rentals was a great PM we called them twice and they arrived promptly to recitify both issues which were both minor but quickly resolved. A few gripes: Needs a few new non-stick skillets. The ones available were worn out and made cooking eggs for 14 a major pain. House needs one new coffee maker there are two but one carafe must have disappeared and the single coffee maker could not keep up with the 9 adults looking for a morning jolt. The hot tub is only accessible from the lower level and only after traversing 35' of snow in the winter. People don't pack robes on a ski trip (too many jackets) so it would be nice if the owners would provide 4-6 warm robes for guests use given the nighlty charge. The DirectTV package available at the house was too limited relative to the expectation of an individual paying the nightly freight. I want to have CNN, FOX and CNBC available when I am on vacation. You should upgrade the cable package for the extra $20 a month. The last major annoyance was no long distance telephone service availability. With bundled telecoms packages, Skype and other alternatives I don't understand restricting LD calling when it should be free. Cell service is not perfect in Mountain Village so a land line is imperative to a busy executive balancing work and family committments. In the TR description it mentions 2 bunks rooms one with (3) and one with (4) beds. We discovered after 2 nights that the room with 4 bunks has one of its beds as a trundle. This should be made clear since it is not a bunk and takes some work to find it (not a complaint just a suggestion). Conclusion: With a few minor upgrades Alpen Ridge is an eviable location in MV and a luxurious accomodation.

Best Ski in Ski out on the mountain!!

This home has anything you could ever want! It is spacious, has huge views and the ski slope is literally outside your back door. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace watching the skiers slide by as well as cooking in the very beautiful and well stocked kitchen. Each bedroom is huge and the whole house is well furnished and super clean. The staff at Telluride Rentals was attentive and wonderful!
