Wonderful place - would stay again

My family and close family friends (a total of 9 of us - 4 adults and 5 "kids" aged 16 - 25) stayed at Stonegate for a week in Dec. The house was wonderful, spacious and comfortable with exquisite views. Dial-a-ride made getting around very easy. Ski in/ski out was great - a trail just up the steps from the back door! Our only small complaints were that the hottub (which was used daily) should have been better placed to take advantage of the amazing views and there were a lot of stairs - even to get from the living room to the kitchen/dining area. We also should have been told that the house did not get delivery via Usps - I had left my glasses at home and had our housekeeper send them - only to find out about 3 days later that I would not be getting them delivered to the house - but would have to go into the town of Telluride to get them from the Post Office. We also had a light out in one of the showers and though we told the handyman on the first day, this was never fixed. Aside from those minor things, we had an amazing time and all of us voted that we would love to go back! Some of the pluses: they transported 7 of us to and from Montrose airport, did let us check in a few hours early and pre-stocked the kitchen for us!

We loved Stonegate! It's location right on the ski trail and the wonderful home that is very light with huge views. Everything is new and high end. It's very private on the top of the mountain. Andre from Telluride Rentals was always available and took excellent care of us. I would love to return!

House Wonderful; Rental Service?

We thought the home was outstanding. However, the company managing the property was incredibly rude. Due to health issues this trip was last minute. We paid upfront and were treated, after they received payment, like squaters. No phones in the house, no garbage cans etc. Than after complaining they were dropped off for us to install!! This was not a cheap rental and were it not for the service of the rental company, I would have given this property a 5 star. After our stay we moved to another property managed by this agency and due to machine issues in their office using our credit card, they threatened to send police if we didn't vacate the property immediately. Of course they tried again to put the charges through and after mistakes they made, the charges went through. It was clear customer service was not in the minds of this group but payment and after that, you're on your own. It was a trip much needed; due to the aforementioned health problems and they ruined it. We left Europe hoping to enjoy great vacation and well known American service and ended up experiencing the poor type of service we've grown to accept in Europe. Very disappointing.
