We loved Stonegate! It's location right on the ski trail and the wonderful home
that is very light with huge views. Everything is new and high end. It's very
private on the top of the mountain. Andre from Telluride Rentals was always
available and took excellent care of us. I would love to return! more »
House Wonderful; Rental Service? Overall Rating Reviewed by euroweb on 05/20/2009
We thought the home was outstanding. However, the company
managing the property was incredibly rude. Due to health issues
this trip was last minute. We paid upfront and were treated, after
they received payment, like squaters. No phones in the house, no
garbage cans etc. Than after complaining they were dropped off
for us to install!! This was not a cheap rental and were it not for
the service of the rental company, I would have given this property
a 5 star. After our stay we moved to another property managed by
this agency and due to machine issues in their office using our
credit card, they threatened to send police if we didn't vacate the
property immediately. Of course they tried again to put the charges
through and after mistakes they made, the charges went through.
It was clear customer service was not in the minds of this group but
payment and after that, you're on your own. It was a trip much
needed; due to the aforementioned health problems and they
ruined it. We left Europe hoping to enjoy great vacation and well
known American service and ended up experiencing the poor type
of service we've grown to accept in Europe. Very disappointing.
Manager Response: 05/23/2009 These guests were the very first ones in this property. When they let us know about the wastebaskets, we promptly delivered them. We also promptly delivered the phones and the only reason we did not install them, was so we would not disturb them; they had a baby in the group and our intention was not to be lazy, but rather, to be considerate.
As for the problem in the second property, this was a very last minute reservation, thus we had no deposit. We allowed them to move into this property and then went back to the office to charge their credit card and the charge was repeatedly declined by THEIR bank; this was not a problem on our end. The charge eventually went through and the guests stayed. We absolutely care about our guests and their experience.
This brand-new five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath home spectacularly captures breathtaking views of the San Sophia Ridge from every main room including the two master suites, the two guest suites and the bunk room.The architecture and décor create a warm and cozy feeling for two by the fire in the great room, yet the design allows for easy entertaining while taking advantage of the large front patio, the front deck and the back patio. After a day of skiing or hiking, enjoy soaking in the hot tub or watching movies or your favorite sporting event in the media room.
On the main level is a master suite with king bed, TV/DVD, jetted tub and steam shower. The second master suite, which is upstairs, also has a king bed, gas fireplace, TV/DVD, jetted tub and steam shower with dual shower heads.
There are three suites downstairs; the first has a queen bed, the second has a split-king (can be either a king or two twins), and the last has a split-king and a set of twin bunk beds. Downstairs is a separate den with a 50" flat screen TV, game table and wet bar.
The home features Telluride Gold stonework, heavy cedar shake roof, 100 year-old Douglas fir beams, alder wood flooring and doors, limestone and travertine baths, soapstone kitchen counters, Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen appliances and heated driveway and patios.
Recreation abounds year round with direct ski-in and ski-out access to the Sundance ski trail and Teddy's Way. For summer time recreation, adjacent trails lead to thousands of USFS acres for hiking through the beautiful San Juan Mountains.
