Winter in Telluride

Snow, snow and yep – you guessed it… more SNOW!

Everyday of February has left Telluride looking more and more like a winter wonderland, and ski bunnies and locals alike love every glittering flake that falls from the sky. We’re ripping down the resort’s hike-to terrain, getting knee-deep powder turns, and riding the soft and beautiful corduroy! So where, you might ask, are the best powder turns for a day like today? Let our powder-hungry team of locals let you in on their favorite spots!

Powder Ski in Telluride

Christina Casas, Owner: Gold Hill 1 is never tracked by the time I get on the hill [I’m not an early riser] and it’s a beautiful place to get away from it all.

Harrison Jones, Operations Team: Galloping Goose – I love to crush this long, groomer on any and all powder days… over 5 miles of turns and views!

Heather McClary, Reservations + Concierge: Revelation Bowl – Our newest lift is now my favorite… especially on a day with fresh snow! It fills in and skis great all day.

Meghan Pittenger, Reservations + Marketing: Bushwacker – When everyone else is heading to Revelation Bowl, I like to lap lift 9 and get fresh powder turns all to myself.

Kevin Maughan, Director of Operations: Captain Jack’s or Log Pile – Love that wide-open tree skiing on a powder day. Untracked and wind protected!

Powder Crowd Mountain Village

Natalie Binder, General Manager: Genevieve because it’s steep and deep!

Seth Palmer, Operations Team: Lift 6 – I love everything on this lift. Can’t get enough of the trees and bumps!
