Red, White & Blue Bubbles! Deciding on a wine with which to tease your palate will be the toughest decision you are faced with during your summer win-o tour of Telluride!

Telluride is about to welcome its 34th Annual Wine Festival, June 25th through June 28th. Guests interested can contact their friendly Telluride Rentals’ concierge to purchase a pass and learn more about the annual festivities. While in attendance, festival goers can indulge in some amazing offerings from wineries including Allegro, Caymus, Duckhorn, Franciscan, Gregory James, Kim Crawford, Nobilo, Ruffino, Silver Oak and for local flavor Wines of the San Juans.

Entertaining this summer? Catch one of the demonstrations or presentations by locally based world-renowned chefs; Eliza Gavin, Patrick Laguens, Brady Pitt, Mark Regianni, Chad Scothorn and take trade secrets back to your home. Wine pairings will be the topic when local legend Paolo Canclini takes the stage.

Looking for a sweet treat? Dark Chocolate and Red Wine are both antioxidant filled ways to end a meal - let Master Chocolatier Patty Denny show you the way!

When the festival closes, and you’re left with a newfound love for the finer things in life, take to downtown Telluride and the Mountain Village with your Sommelier skills and sample some of the most comprehensive wine lists on the Western Slope! May we suggest the following tour schedule:

Day One: Start in the Village at La Piazza with Paolo and his extensive knowledge of wines from Italy and beyond. From there, make your way over to The Village Table to enjoy a tapas tasting paired with a flight. You can then head for new heights as you hop on the Gondola to the St. Sophia station and pop in to Allred’s where, if you’re lucky, you just might catch the alpenglow.

Pouring Wine at Telluride Wine FestivalDays Two, Three and Maybe Four: Find yourself in town enjoying a glass of rose paired with a lovely cheese on the fire escape at over the moon. Create a memory for life with a private dining experience in the Wine Cellar at Cosmo. Stroll down Main Street for a Bold Red paired with local game at the Sheridan Chop House. Enjoy a leisurely meal at the Bistro while Marta climbs to the “cellar” above the bar to select the perfect wine for you. End the evening at Telluride’s own Arroyo Wine Bar.

Feeling like a day trip? Head South to Cortez for a day at the Sutcliffe Vineyards for an afternoon of tasting and touring. This family run jewel is open daily at 11:00 AM but you may wish to call ahead to make sure they are expecting you.

Need the perfect bottle to take on your next picnic? Stop in the Wine Mine or Bottle Works in town for fantastic selection and knowledge staff to assist in navigating your selection. What better way to hydrate after a hike, bike or river adventure in the San Juan’s then a refreshing glass of Vino viewing the terrain you just conquered!

Most of all savor and enjoy your experience, Cheers!
