Winter in Telluride

Colorado winters are nothing short of magnificently beautiful, and smart skiing enthusiasts are having the time of their lives right at this moment in stunning Telluride. With more than 300 inches of snowfall every year and seemingly endless acres of diverse terrain that allows those of every skill level to enjoy the sport, Telluride is your perfect winter vacation destination when skiing is your top priority.

Current Weather Conditions

Bundle up nice and warm because current highs are only around 22 degrees, lows are hitting at around 14 degrees and the snow is falling. Winds are calm at about 5 miles per hour, and the long-range forecast predicts snow for every single day in the coming week. Though January brings along frigid temperatures, you won't even feel the cold once you get going on your skis.

An Abundance of Snow

If it's between late November and early April, then you never really need to ask if the skiing is good in Telluride because this entire time is perfect for skiing. The area has already been covered with a whopping 174 inches of snow this season, and skiers can expect a current base depth of 59 inches. This is made up primarily of powder on top of packed powder, and the skiing conditions are absolutely wonderful.
