Forest Service Guard Stations are excellent destinations for a weekend getaway, family reunion, or a weeklong hunting trip. Several cabins are now available for weekday or weekend rental on the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest. Depending on the cabin location, a number of outdoor recreational opportunities are just outside your door including hiking, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking, motorized recreation, horseback riding, hunting, and wildlife viewing. All cabins are accessible by passenger vehicle via paved or dirt roads.
